Skateboard Trick

Ollie Airwalk

The Ollie Airwalk looks like the hardest skateboard trick out there. If you have seen someone perform this trick, you have probably been amazed by how it is done. If you are a beginner, you may think that there is no chance in you-know-where that you will be able to do this trick.

This skateboard trick is easier than it looks, even though it appears to be really difficult. All you need is a place to practice, and you should have it down in no time.

A skateboard park or a concrete ramp is the ideal practice area for this trick. If you already know how to do ollies off the ground or off of ramps, this trick shouldn’t take you too long to learn.

You will want to find a ramp that has a steep angle so that your jump will be 2 to 3 feel off the ground.

It is best to start practicing with nosegrabs before you attempt the ollie airwalk. You may also want to consider the skateboard trick tip of doing grabs off of the side of the ramp instead of head on.

Once you get the feel for nosegrabs, completing an airwalk won’t be as hard. All you will have to do is kick your back foot to the tail side of the board and your front foot to the front of the board, and then do the opposite.

Amazingly, it looks like you are walking in the air. Hence, we get the name of this skateboard trick for beginner boarders.

To land, all you will need to do is grab your board with your front hand and speedily put it back under your feet.

Not that it is required for you to have large hands to complete the ollie airwalk, but it helps to manage your board. It will be easier for large-handed boarders to get the board back in place to land.

The airwalk seems like a complicated and challenging trick, but it is relatively simple if you can already ollie and do nosegrabs. If you don’t know how to do an Ollie or nosegrabs, practice those first and you should get this done in no time.
